NASA: Is farming possible on the moon? Shocking information revealed in new research

Successful experiment of growing plants in the soil of the moon by scientists of the University of Florida’s Institute for Deficit and Agricultural Sciences

Scientists have been making new discoveries about our Earth and the universe for years, ranging from the existence of Earth to the discovery of new planets in the universe and whether life is possible elsewhere. NASA has once again conducted a successful experiment with this. To know whether to live on Mars or the Moon, NASA tried to see if it was possible to cultivate the land there by planting plants in the soil that came from the Moon’s surface. It is said that this experiment was successful.

Let us tell you that with the help of this experiment, NASA has proved that it is possible to develop a lunar thallus (a small plant with white flowers), although this experiment has not been done on the Moon, but on Earth. Scientists claim that in the future, plants can be planted on the moon, which can be more healthy than the fruits and vegetables that grow on Earth. This experiment was done by scientists from the University of Florida.

Robert Farrell of the University of Florida’s Institute for Deficit and Agricultural Sciences says the plants grown in the Apollo Lunar Resolith represent the transcriptome that is taking the Moon in a new positive direction in all the research that has been done.

Let us tell you that lunar soil was brought to Earth by NASA’s Apollo 1,12 and 17 missions. Robert Farrell and his colleagues planted Arabidopsis seeds in lunar soil taken by Apollo 11’s Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin and other moonwalkers, all of which germinated. About lunar soil Lunar regolith says that the soil of the Moon is different from the soil of the Earth. This was not the first attempt to engage in this type of farming in space. In January 2019, China’s Chang’e-4 spacecraft landed on the lunar surface carrying cotton seeds. It was the first attempt by China to plant a sapling on the Moon, which China’s National Space Administration declared successful.
