UPA shows solidarity in Jharkhand

New Delhi, Amid the suspense of the Election Commission’s report on Chief Minister Hemant Soren’s assembly membership and the Governor’s recommendation, the ruling coalition’s legislators showed solidarity for the second day in a row. A meeting of JMM and Congress MLAs was held at the Chief Minister’s residence on Sunday, in which most of the MLAs participated. After the meeting, the legislators claimed solidarity by holding a press conference. A day before this, on Saturday, the Chief Minister went on a picnic with his MLAs.

In the press conference after the meeting held on Sunday, State Health Minister Banna Gupta challenged that if the Governor has the guts, then President’s rule should be imposed. Talking to reporters, he said- We are ready for every decision. 11 MLAs of the alliance attended the press conference held after the meeting. It had five Congress MLAs, of which three are ministers. Banna Gupta said – The matter is being hanged so that BJP gets an opportunity to do horse trading. Like they have done in other states, they want to do in Jharkhand also.

Jharkhand Mukti Morcha senior leader and state government minister Champai Soren said that constant efforts are being made to harass the tribal government of the state. How is the tribal chief minister running power in the state, leading, it is not being digested by the BJP. For this they want to create instability in power. It is worth mentioning that the Election Commission had heard the case against the Chief Minister in the matter of taking the lease of the mine in his name and sent the report to the Governor.

However, before the Governor’s meeting, Chief Minister Hemant Soren had met Congress state in-charge Avinash Pandey. During this meeting that lasted for about an hour at the State Guest House, he discussed about the solidarity of the MLAs. Pandey assured Soren that all Congress MLAs are united with him. Jharkhand State President Rajesh Thakur said that no MLA of the party is going anywhere, they are all there.
