Congress power broker

When the Congress has understood that to play the role of the opposition in the present era, it is the only way to take to the streets., It is natural for people to find a different path in politics for the purpose of increasing comfort.

In December 1985, on the occasion of the hundredth anniversary of the Indian National Congress, the then Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi said that the power brokers had made deep inroads in the Congress, from whom he aimed to free the party. The later experience was that Rajiv Gandhi could not remove the power brokers from the party, on the contrary, the power brokers took him under their deep influence. Since then, the agents of Congress have been power brokers and courtiers. Those brokers would never have imagined that one day the party would not actually be in power. At the most, his guess would be that under the general democratic system, if the party ever falls out of power, it will come back in the next election cycle. They will have little idea that one day a government will be formed, which will be difficult to defeat by the democratic process of general election and it will be risky to be in opposition.

Now that the Congress under the leadership of Rahul Gandhi has understood that to play the role of the opposition in the present government, the only way is to take to the streets and go on a long pilgrimage, so those who aim to maintain and increase the comfort It is a natural reaction of those who have entered politics since then to find a different place and way for themselves. That is why the Congress should not mourn the displeasure of leaders like Ghulam Nabi Azad, Kapil Sibal, many other leaders leaving the party before them and Anand Sharma. Actually such leaders are not a solution, but a big reason for the problem of Congress today. Leaving them to their decision, the party should proceed on its new path. In this way, he will get new friends and new relatives. In this path, there is every possibility of getting new strength and new life for the party. The only condition is that the Congress should walk on this path honestly and with all seriousness. Rahul Gandhi has called it austerity, so hopefully he and his colleagues will be ready to make sacrifices to live up to it, which is not within the power of the power brokers.
