New disease ‘monkeypox’, homosexuals are more at risk of spreading

They believe that monkeypox is a rare virus and does not spread easily.

The cases of monkeypox that have been reported so far in the UK include men who are gay or bisexual in origin. That is, the risk of getting this disease is higher in gay men. Until now monkeypox was not considered a sexually transmitted disease, but now health experts are warning gay and bisexual men to be alert to this disease and if any kind of symptoms are seen, then get sexual health checkup immediately.

The rash appears on the face and body and the infection lasts for 2 to 4 weeks. This virus does not spread easily among people. There is also a risk of contracting this disease, especially from coming in contact with infected animals such as monkeys, rats and squirrels. The disease also occurs through contact with objects contaminated with the virus, such as bedding or clothing.

Apart from this, once the fever subsides, there are small pimples all over the body, pimples start on the face. Apart from this, pimples can also be seen generally on the palm of the hand and the soles of the feet. There is a complaint of itching in the pimples. Gradually these pimples dry up and fall like a scab and scars remain. This infection is seen from 14 to 21 days.
