A heart-wrenching case has come to light from Nalanda in Bihar. Here it became costly to give birth to a daughter-in-law. The daughter-in-law, who reached her in-laws’ house after giving birth to a daughter, was not allowed to enter the door.
Actually, the whole matter is of Hajipur locality of Bihar police station area. Here on Sunday, 32-year-old Priyanka Kumari, wife of Alok Kumar, came to her in-laws’ house for the first time after giving birth to a daughter. During this, the woman came on the threshold of her in-laws’ house with her daughter in her lap, pleading for hours to open the door.
Even after hours passed, the in-laws did not feel sorry for the daughter-in-law and the child. The married woman along with her daughter and maternal relatives kept waiting outside the house. But the in-laws refused to recognize the married woman.
The woman says that since marriage, the husband and in-laws were making pressure to bring money from the maternal home. Meanwhile, a daughter was born, since then the in-laws stopped talking.
The woman told that after the birth of the child, the in-laws demanded Rs 2 lakh. Despite giving money, the husband or other members of the in-laws did not reach Barbigha to attend the program. After which the woman reached her in-laws’ house with her family members.
