Taiwan’s independence cannot be tolerated

Beijing. Opposing Taiwan’s independence has now become China’s constitutional duty because opposing Taiwan’s independence has been included in the Constitution of China. On Saturday, the last day of a week-long party congress of the Communist Party of China, China included its opposition to Taiwan’s independence in its constitution. Through a resolution, the issue of protesting Taiwan’s independence and taking steps to stop those seeking independence was included in the constitution.

Earlier on October 16, when the Party Congress began, in his first speech, President Xi Jinping had expressed his intentions regarding Taiwan. He had said that just as Hong Kong has become a part of China, in the same way Taiwan will also be made. He also talked about the use of force, which Taiwan strongly opposed. China has made it its constitutional obligation to oppose Taiwan’s independence, regardless of its opposition. This has increased the possibility of escalating conflict between the two countries.
