Surat: Adani Sportsline’s initiative to promote Kabaddi and Kho-Kho

32 schools from Surat participated in Kabaddi and 16 schools in Kho-Kho, more than 3000 players from more than 224 schools are expected to participate in the tournament

Inter school competition organized in four cities of Gujarat starting from Surat

Adani Sportsline, the sports arm of the Adani Group, in association with Radio Mirchi has organized Little Giants Inter School Kabaddi and Kho-Kho Championships in Gujarat. The competition to be held in Surat, Rajkot, Vadodara and Ahmedabad began today at Swaminarayan Mission near Valak Patiya in Surat.

Gujarat Giants, the franchise brand of Adani Sportsline, was launched in 2017. It aims to realize India’s ambitions to promote indigenous sports like Kabaddi and Kho-Kho. Also providing opportunities to the interested talents. Inaugurating the competition in Surat, Swaminarayan Mission Director Pujya Vishwaprakash Swamiji appreciated the competition organized by his organization and wished the players well. Shaileshbhai Sutaria, principal of Swaminarayan Mission School, said that this scheme is being made to prepare players from the grassroots level.

The Little Giants tournament is an attempt to attract the attention of school children towards sports like Kabaddi and Kho-Kho to encourage them to participate in such sports events. 32 schools from Surat participated in Kabaddi and 16 schools in Kho-Kho which would play games like Native Indian Kabaddi and Kho-Kho. More than 3000 students from over 224 schools are expected to participate as players in the tournament to be held in Surat, Vadodara, Rajkot and Ahmedabad. The league has started from today in Surat. Adani Sportsline team plays in Kabaddi and Kho-Kho league of Indian origin under the name of Gujarat Giants. Similar competition is to be held in Rajkot on next Saturday and Sunday on 6th and 7th August.
