MLA caught with money suspended from Congress

Ranchi. Congress has suspended three of its MLAs who were caught with huge cash in Howrah, West Bengal. The three MLAs were caught late on Saturday evening. He has been arrested by Howrah Police. After the arrest, the Congress has suspended these MLAs from the party. Khijri MLA Rajesh Kachhap, Jamtara’s Irfan Ansari and Kolebira seat’s Naman Bixel Kongadi were interrogated by the police in custody and were arrested after they failed to give satisfactory answers regarding cash.

These three people were caught in Howrah rural area. There were a total of five people in Jamtara’s Congress MLA Irfan Ansari’s vehicle and a huge amount of cash was kept in this vehicle. Congress’s communication department head Jairam Ramesh had said on Saturday that the BJP’s Operation Lotus had failed after the three were caught. It is believed that money was given to these MLAs for defection.

The Congress on Saturday accused the BJP of trying to topple its coalition government in Jharkhand after three MLAs were arrested. In a press conference at the Congress headquarters, the party’s Jharkhand in-charge Avinash Pandey said that Congress President Sonia Gandhi has suspended the three MLAs with immediate effect. In Ranchi, Congress MLA Kumar Jaimangal has filed a case with state president Rajesh Thakur at Argora police station for destabilizing the government.

Confirming that the Jharkhand Pradesh Congress President has said that an FIR has been lodged in Ranchi in the matter of destabilizing the Jharkhand government. Earlier, Congress General Secretary Jairam Ramesh wrote on Twitter on Saturday targeting Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah – BJP’s ‘Operation Lotus’ in Jharkhand was exposed in Howrah tonight. The ‘game plan’ of ‘Hum Do’ in Delhi is to do the same in Jharkhand as they did in Maharashtra by using E-D pair.
