Now blaming is a crime!

The conclusion is that now raising any kind of incident affecting the image of the government has started to be considered a crime. The question to be asked is, what kind of society is India becoming after all?

Pay attention to this incident. In Pratapgarh, Uttar Pradesh, Samajwadi Party MLA Dr RK Verma came to inspect the government engineering college being built in his area Raniganj, when he received a complaint that poor quality materials were being used in the construction work. When the MLA saw this complaint, it turned out to be true. When he touched the newly constructed wall, he started shaking and when he pushed a little, he fell down. This video of MLA started going viral on social media. Shortly after, an FIR was lodged against six people including MLA RK Verma and his brother on behalf of the company which was building the engineering college at Kandhai police station. Now Verma is the main accused in this incident. And this isn’t the first time this has happened. Similarly, such examples are increasing all over the country, but if we focus on Uttar Pradesh itself, then there have been many occasions when those who complain of corruption have been put in the dock. In April this year, he was arrested after registering an FIR against three journalists for publishing news about the board exam paper leak.

Many journalists and social workers who write news against sand mafia and mining mafia are getting threats every day. Cases have been registered against him not only on behalf of the mafia, but also on many occasions by the government officials. According to a report by Committee Against Assault on Journalists, 48 journalists across the state were physically assaulted, 66 booked, and arrested during the five years since the BJP government was formed in the state in 2017. Even during the Kovid epidemic, cases were registered against many journalists. So the conclusion is that now raising corruption, atrocities and any kind of incident which affects the image of the government is being considered as a crime. In such a situation, the pertinent question becomes that what kind of society is India becoming after all?
