Netherlands fast bowler Frederick Overdick has created history in T20 cricket. At the age of just 21, Frederick has managed to make the biggest record of T20 cricket in his name. Frederick Overdick is the first player to take seven wickets in a T20I match. Thanks to Frederick’s historic performance, the Netherlands team managed to beat France by 9 wickets.

France won the toss and elected to bat first in the match played against Netherlands. But this decision of France proved to be wrong in the European T20 World Cup qualifier organized by the ICC. The entire team of France was all out for just 33 runs in 17.3 overs. While bowling four overs, Frederick gave only three runs and sent seven batsmen to the pavilion.

Frederick, however, paved the way for a very easy victory for the Netherlands. Netherlands team achieved the target of 34 runs in just 21 balls. The Netherlands, however, had to lose one wicket. Frederick was adjudged the player of the match for his excellent performance.

For the first time a player took seven wickets

This is the first time that a player has managed to take seven wickets during a T20 match. Earlier, any player in men’s or women’s T20 matches could take only 6-6 wickets. Frederick has now managed to hold the record for the most successful bowling in the history of T20 cricket.

Earlier, the record of the most successful bowling in a match was held by Anjali Chand of Nepal, who took 6 wickets in 2.1 overs without spending any run. Apart from Anjali, 6 more female cricketers have managed to take 6 wickets in a match. The name of India’s Jhulan Goswami is also included in this list, who did this feat against Australia in 2012.
