Differences in Congress: Satish Nainwal resigns from Nainital District President

Haldwani. Nainital District Congress President in Uttarakhand, Satish Nainwal has resigned from his post. Confirming his resignation on Tuesday, Mr. Nainwal said, I have told the state president that I should be relieved now.

Nainwal said that I have said on my behalf that I do not want to become the president now, release me from the post. However, his resignation has not yet been accepted. He also said that as a member of the Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC), he took part in the recent elections for the post of National President of Congress.

Shri Nainwal held the post of Nainital District Congress President for almost two decades. According to Congress office Swaraj Ashram sources, the current president of Mahanagar Congress Committee Haldwani, Rahul Chhimwal, is being said to be a strong contender for the post of Nainital District Congress President.
