Taking cognizance of this audio leak, the cabinet constituted a committee on 30 September.

The committee recommended legal action regarding this audio leak. The cabinet committee has recommended that it is a matter of national security which has serious implications for national interest and legal action is necessary in this regard, Geo News reported. The Federal Investigation Agency will be tasked with investigating US cyber and audio leaks.

Meanwhile, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Maryam Nawaz Sharif on Saturday expressed her dissatisfaction with the government led by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and said the government failed to arrest Khan despite so many allegations.
