23-year-old youth protester hanged again in Iran

On 24 November, the Mashhad Revolutionary Court sentenced Majidreza Rahnward to death. After which he was hanged this morning. Let us tell you that this is the second hanging just a few days after a protester Mohsen Shekhri was hanged in Iran.

There are allegations against the government of Iran regarding this hanging that it allegedly did not allow the accused to be provided with a lawyer. Not only this, it is also coming to the fore that this young man was severely tortured in captivity. Because, when he was produced in the court, serious injuries were visible on his body.

Why was the death sentence given?
Iran Protester Hanging: One Majidreza Rahnward, who was declared accused by Iran, was only 23 years old. He was a wrestler. He was accused of stabbing two members of Iranian security forces to death and wounding four others during protests across the country in recent months. Due to which he was sentenced to death. According to Iran’s state media, the youth was sentenced to death for allegedly attacking security forces in Mashhad, according to a report in ‘The Jerusalem Post’. After which it was hanged on Monday i.e. morning.
On the other hand, Iranian opposition activists allege that this young man, Rahnward, was sentenced to death in a false trial. They say that many prisoners in Iran have been forced by the Iranian authorities to record statements under pressure.
