Ranchi. Shameful news has come from Kolebira police station area of Simdega district of Jharkhand. Imam Aminullah alias Amin of a Madrassa here has been accused of raping an eight-year-old girl. Police arrested him on the complaint of family members. However, the accused fled from Kolebira and reached Kudu in Lohardaga. Police caught him on the basis of mobile location. It was told that the accused Imam used to call small children to teach them separately in the madrasa. He had called the children on Sunday also. After finishing studies, Maulana stopped one girl child and sent the rest of the children. After this, he took the girl to a separate room and raped her.
The girl reached home and told about Maulana’s act. He told the family members that for the last several days he was doing dirty acts with his hands. When the family members of the girl reached the madrasa, he had absconded. The family and members of the Anjuman Committee reached the police station with the girl. Apart from the family members of the girl, the Sadar Anjuman Committee, which runs the mosque and madrassa, has also given a written complaint against the imam at the police station. The girl has been sent to Simdega for medical examination. SP Saurabh Kumar said that Maulana, accused in the incident, has been arrested by the police while taking prompt action. He is under interrogation.
