10 thousand Russian soldiers died

Moscow / Kyiv. Russia has been hiding how many of its soldiers have been killed since the invasion of Ukraine. But media pro-Russia’s Vladimir Putin government has mistakenly reported that 10,000 Russian soldiers have been killed in Ukraine so far and the Russian army has suffered heavy losses. According to a report by the newspaper ‘Komsomolskaya Pravda’, which is considered a supporter of the Putin government, 9,861 Russian soldiers have been killed in Ukraine and 16,153 have been injured. The news was released late on Monday but was removed hours later. The pressure of the government has been told behind this.

Ukraine, on the other hand, has claimed that its army has destroyed 509 Russian tanks, 1,556 vehicles and 252 artillery systems. Also killed 15,300 soldiers. Ukraine claimed to have killed 10,000 Russian soldiers in the first week of March. However, it has been 27 days since the Russian invasion of Ukraine and now the Russian army is facing opposition from the Ukrainian military as well as the general public.

On Monday, people gathered in large numbers at Freedom Square in Kherson to protest the Russian attack and stood in front of the Russian army. The Russian army opened fire and used hand grenades to control the crowd. Meanwhile, Russia has intensified attacks in the cities of Kherson, Kharkiv, Mariupol etc. About a thousand buildings were destroyed by the Russian attack in Kharkiv. A Ukrainian official said five hundred more people had died there. Russia has also attacked residential areas of Zhytomyr and Kryvyi Ri.

Ukraine’s President Voldimir Zelensky said on Monday that Mariupol would be alive even if Russia burned Mariupol to ashes, Ukraine’s President said on Monday. He appealed to the Ukrainian people, saying – do whatever you can to protect our country, to save our people. On the other hand, EU foreign policy chief Josep Borrell said on Monday – what is happening in Mariupol is a big war crime.

With the Russian offensive intensifying and the devastation in several cities, President Voldimir Zelensky has asked NATO bluntly the question whether NATO should make it clear whether Ukraine is giving place to its alliance or not? Keep in mind that the refugee crisis in Europe is constantly deepening due to the war. Germany’s foreign minister tells the EU to be prepared for 8 million Ukrainian refugees. According to the UNHRC report, till now more than 10 million people are in or out of the country as refugees.
