Patna On Tuesday, a special vigilance team raided several places, including his official residence, in connection with the acquisition of disproportionate assets against the Superintendent of Police of Purnia district of Bihar, Daya Shankar. Many senior Vigilance officers are also involved in the raid amid tight security arrangements.
According to vigilance sources, raids are being conducted by various teams at the official residence, office of Superintendent of Police Dayashankar, besides the premises of several policemen, including several police station in-charges.
In the disproportionate assets case, a case was registered against Purnea Superintendent of Police Dayashankar in the monitoring court. This raid is being done after getting the search warrant from the monitoring court. An official said that the Special Vigilance Unit and the Economic Offenses Unit are conducting raids at their locations in Purnia and Patna. Purnia SP has been accused of possessing disproportionate assets.
