Will international cricket stop again in Pakistan?

Will International Cricket Stop Again in Pakistan: New Zealand today called off Pakistan’s tour citing security reasons just ahead of the first ODI. After this, many questions have started arising. It is being said that after this decision of the New Zealand Cricket Board, international cricket may once again stop in Pakistan.

Will international cricket stop again in Pakistan? Will Pakistani players again have to play home series in UAE? This question is because the New Zealand team refused to play the series on Pakistan soil just minutes before the start of the first ODI in Rawalpindi. Now there is such a situation that the Pakistan Cricket Board does not know what will happen next.

The three-match ODI series between Pakistan and New Zealand was to begin from today. But due to security reasons, the New Zealand Cricket Board has canceled the entire tour of Pakistan. The New Zealand team is on a tour of Pakistan for a three-match ODI and a five-match T20I series.

Pakistan Cricket Board chairman and former captain Rameez Raja also spoke to Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan. After this Imran Khan also requested New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Arden to be allowed to play this series. But the matter did not progress and the New Zealand team refused to play the series citing security.

Newly-appointed PCB chairman Rameez Raja hit out at New Zealand Cricket for canceling the tour at the last minute citing security. Rameez warned New Zealand Cricket that he would take up the issue with the International Cricket Council (ICC).

Shoaib Akhtar tweeted that New Zealand killed Pakistan Cricket. Akhtar said New Zealand should have remembered that nine Pakistanis were killed in the Christchurch attack. Pakistan then stood firmly with New Zealand. Pakistan toured New Zealand in the poor conditions of Kovid-19, while on that tour the New Zealand authorities behaved so poorly.

Even if Rameez Raja has threatened New Zealand to go to the ICC or former Pakistan players are targeting the Kiwi team. But the thing is that Pakistan has become internationally insulted.

Now there is another threat before Pakistan. In fact, after the cancellation of New Zealand’s tour of Pakistan, England’s tour of Pakistan next month is also in doubt. According to the report, England can also cancel its tour of Pakistan. However, no formal announcement has been made by the England Cricket Board yet, but it is being told that the ECB will decide on it in the next 48 hours.

The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) said that they will decide in the next 48 hours whether the tour to be held next month will go ahead or not. A spokesperson said, “We are aware of New Zealand’s decision to withdraw from the tour of Pakistan due to security alerts. We are contacting our security team, who are present in Pakistan, to fully understand the situation. Thereafter, the ECB The board will decide in the next 24-48 hours whether our planned tour should go ahead or not.”

Let us tell you that in 2005, England toured Pakistan for the last time. Nearly 10 years of international cricket in Pakistan came to a complete halt since the 2008 terrorist attack on Sri Lankan cricketers outside the Gaddafi Stadium. After the final match of PSL was held on Pakistani soil in 2017, 8 matches of PSL i.e. Pakistan Super League were held here in 2018. After this teams like Zimbabwe, West Indies, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh have gone to play here. But the super powers of cricket like New Zealand, Australia, England still had to play here, which seems difficult now.
