Votes will be cast for Delhi Municipal Corporation elections on December 4, know the full program

New Delhi | Delhi MCD Election 2022: Municipal corporation election 2022 has been announced in the capital Delhi. Polling in the 250-seat Municipal Corporation of Delhi will be held on December 4 and results will be declared on December 7. With the announcement of the date of elections, now the model code of conduct has also come into force in Delhi. This will be the first election after the merger of the three municipal corporations of Delhi.

On Friday, the Election Commissioner of Delhi, Vijay Dev, held a press conference and informed about the elections to be held on the 4th. He told that this time 250 wards have been earmarked in Delhi. In which 1 crore 46 lakh 73 thousand voters will exercise their franchise. It is worth noting that Delhi Municipal Corporation elections were to be held in April this year, but the elections were postponed further in view of the merger of the three municipal bodies by the Center.

This will be the schedule of Delhi Municipal Corporation Election 2022

Voting for the Delhi Municipal Corporation elections will be held from 8 am to 5:30 pm.
– Nomination process for election starts from 7th November.
– The last date for withdrawal of nominations is November 19.
Voting will be done by EVM.
Voters will be able to use NOTA by voting.
The limit of expenditure in elections will be 8 lakh in each ward.

Elections were held in April 2017, BJP got 281 seats
Delhi MCD Election 2022: Let us tell you that the last municipal elections in Delhi were held in April 2017. In which BJP won 202 out of 281 wards. Whereas, AAP had won 48 and Congress 27 wards. Also, due to the death of candidates in two seats, voting could not be held.
