Vote for ‘broom’ to clean ‘BJP’s garbage’: Sisodia

New Delhi. Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia claimed that people will vote for the Aam Aadmi Party in the Municipal Corporation (MCD) elections to clean the BJP’s garbage. He said if Arvind Kejriwal-led AAP comes to power in the MCD, all the “heaps” of garbage in Delhi will disappear in five years.

Sisodia was talking to reporters here after visiting the landfill site in Ghazipur area of East Delhi. He alleged that just to show that the height of the garbage dump in Ghazipur has been reduced, the BJP-led Delhi Municipal Corporation picked up the garbage and dumped it in the surrounding areas. He alleged that the intentions of the BJP were not strong to find a solution to this problem.

Along with Sisodia, AAP’s municipal election in-charge Durgesh Pathak was also present. Pathak on Tuesday accused the BJP of trying to “spread garbage in Ghazipur area” and claimed that a large part of the mountain of garbage fell on the houses of people living in the adjoining areas. Dismissing the claim, the municipal corporation said in a statement on Tuesday, “There is a misinformation being spread about the demolition of a mountain of garbage in Ghazipur. A small section of the wall of the waste-to-power plant in Ghazipur collapsed and immediate action was taken to repair it. (Language)
