uttarakhand congress executive announcement soon

Dehradun. Uttarakhand Pradesh Congress Committee president Karan Mahra on Friday said he has prepared his executive committee and it will be announced after getting the final nod from the party high command.

Mahra said that due to the busyness of the party high command, there is a delay in the announcement of the executive committee. He said that on one hand the process of election for the post of Congress President is going on and on the other hand ‘Bharat Jodo Yatra’ is going on under the leadership of Rahul Gandhi. Due to all these busy schedules, there is a delay in the declaration of the executive committee of the state unit of the party.

Mahara clarified that the party leaders who are using the post with their names do not include the approval of the party. Mahra, who was a two-time MLA from Ranikhet, took over the post of state party president about six months ago in April. Mahara was given this responsibility after the then state party president Ganesh Godiyal resigned in the wake of the Congress’s drubbing in the assembly elections in Uttarakhand earlier in the year.
