Under the aegis of District Ganga Committee, Nehru Yuva Kendra, in collaboration with Namami Gange Project, celebrated Ganga Utsav with great pomp on 04 November. Under the festival, competitions like painting, debate, speech etc. were organized by M.P. Singh Inter College, Bilgram. After that, the spirit of cleanliness, street plays, cultural programs, Deepotsav, oath and Ganga Aarti were organized at Beriya Ghat. Gangadoots of Nehru Yuva Kendra presented street plays, cultural programs under the leadership of spearhead Pankaj. In the program, honorable MLA Ashish Singh, Ashu’s revered mother, Mrs. Vimala Devi, performed Deepotsav and Ganga Aarti with the local residents. On this occasion, Divisional Director, Forest Department, District Youth Officer Pratima Verma, District Project Officer, Ashwani Kumar Mishra, Spearhead Kailash Chand, Gangadoot Sudhir, Sandeep, Sarvesh Rajput, Vikas etc. were present. A five-day state fair is being organized at Beriyaghat on the occasion of Kartik Purnima. Which will run from November 4 to November 8.
