Recently, in the National Volleyball National Competition held in Maharashtra, Gujarat Under-21 girls team performed brilliantly and won the title by defeating Kerala girls team in the final match. The successful players of this team are associated with the Volleyball Training Academy in Nadiad, run by the Sports Authority of Gujarat. For the first time in the sports history of the state, the girls’ team has won the national volleyball tournament.

Officials of Vadodara Volleyball Association and more than 100 players and coaches of various sports trained in district level sports training schools enthusiastically participated in his welcome. Describing this achievement as inspirational, District Sports Development Officer Bhalawala said that football is popular in Vadodara but volleyball is not played. The game is not particularly popular among the sisters. This achievement of the girls of Gujarat at that time will inspire and encourage the youth community of Vadodara to play volleyball.
