Unauthorized agents are not well in AIIMS

New Delhi. Delhi-based All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) has urged the doctors and other members of the hospital to inform about the presence on the AIIMS premises of unauthorized agents of private establishments exploiting patients.

According to a circular issued by AIIMS Director Dr M Srinivas on Friday, the security personnel will ensure that all such persons are handed over to the police in the hospital so that they do not exploit patients.

The circular states that the information can also be emailed. It mentions that unknown and unauthorized persons belonging to certain private companies, hospitals, laboratories and radiology centers etc. are often seen roaming inside the AIIMS premises to take pecuniary benefits from the patients. It is also learned that they facilitate issuance and admission of OPD cards and agents ask patients to approach private establishments for laboratory or radiology examination, the circular said.

The circular states that some of them sell medicines and other medical items etc. As per the circular, all such unidentified persons, vendors and agents should be strictly prevented from entering the hospital premises. It said, ‘All doctors, nurses and staff members are directed to immediately inform on special WhatsApp number 9355023969 on any suspicion of presence of any unauthorized and unknown person in the premises or around any department and area of ​​the hospital. Go.’

As per the circular, the identity of the person providing information about such unauthorized persons will be kept confidential and appropriate action will be taken to prevent exploitation of patients.
