Went, In Bihar, three people have been arrested in connection with the gang-rape of a minor girl in Mohanpur police station area of Gaya district. Superintendent of Police (City) Rakesh Kumar told a press conference here on Thursday that a 17-year-old minor, a resident of Mohanpur police station area of the district, was gang-raped by five people two days ago by taking advantage of the marriage ceremony. Gaya women’s police station case number 30/22 was registered against five people for the incident on April 19.
Kumar said that in this case a team was constituted by the Senior Superintendent of Police of Gaya to crack down on the incident. Taking quick action, Gaya’s women police station in-charge Ravi Ranjana Kumari arrested all the three accused of rape. Police has started taking further action in custody. Gaya Police is continuously raiding suspicious places to arrest two other accused involved in the case.
