This strong leader of Akali Dal will contest against Navjot Singh Sidhu

Akali Dal has fielded Bikram Singh Majithia against Sidhu from Amritsar East. Bikram Singh Majithia is the brother-in-law of Sukhbir Singh Badal and brother of Harsimrat Kaur.

Akali Dal President Sukhbir Singh Badal has made a big announcement for the Punjab Assembly elections. Sukhbir Singh Badal said that Akali Dal leader Bikram Singh Majithia would contest against Navjot Singh Sidhu so that Sidhu’s ego should be broken. Akali Dal President Sukhbir Singh Badal’s statement made it clear that Bikram Singh Majithia would contest from Amritsar East against Navjot Singh Sidhu. Bikram Singh Majithia is the brother-in-law of Sukhbir Singh Badal and brother of Harsimrat Kaur. On January 15, the Congress had announced its first list of 86 candidates, in which Navjot Singh Sidhu was also named. Navjot Singh Sidhu is currently also the MLA from Amritsar East. Aam Aadmi Party has fielded Jiwanjot Kaur from Amritsar East.

While the patrons of Shiromani Akali Dal Parkash Singh Badal Will contest from Lambi assembly constituency in Punjab assembly elections. Let us inform that Congress has fielded Jagpal Singh Abulkhurana from Lambi assembly constituency. The long assembly of Punjab is considered to be the stronghold of Akali Dal patriarch Prashant Singh Badal. Since 1997, Parkash Singh Badal has been winning elections here continuously.

Let us inform that Aam Aadmi Party has released the list of 112 candidates out of 117 for the Punjab Assembly elections. While Congress has so far released a list of 109 candidates. The Aam Aadmi Party has also declared its MP Bhagwant Mann as its chief ministerial candidate for the Punjab Assembly elections. At the same time, the Congress party is entering the fray without a chief minister’s face.

During the 2017 Punjab Assembly election campaign, Bikram Singh Majithia was made serious allegations of drugs by Aam Aadmi Party chief Arvind Kejriwal. However, Kejriwal later apologized as well.

On the other hand, for the Punjab Assembly elections, the BJP has tied up with Captain Amarinder Singh’s party Punjab Lok Congress and Sukhdev Singh Dhindsa’s Samyukta Akali Dal-Dhindsa. In Punjab, BJP will contest on 65 seats while Amarinder Singh’s party Punjab Lok Congress will contest on 37 seats. Sukhdev Singh’s Sanyukt Akali Dal got 15 seats.
