There may be a big reshuffle in the Dhami cabinet next month

Dehradun. A big reshuffle can be seen in the cabinet expansion in Uttarakhand. If sources are to be believed, on the lines of the big cabinet expansion at the center last year, there can be a big expansion in the state, in which many veterans can be discharged and new faces can get entry. According to sources, the BJP high command is in the process of finalizing the plan for cabinet expansion. Different feedback has also been taken from Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami and State President Mahendra Bhatt in this regard. According to sources, the high command may make major changes to improve the functioning of the government in the state and change the image that has been tarnished by the recent incidents.

The effort is to change the face of the cabinet to give a good signal to the public about the government. A total of 12 ministers (12 ministers) can be made in the state. According to sources, while a Brahmin can be made a minister from Kumaon, there is also a possibility of giving representation to the plains adjoining the Garhwal region. In such a situation, either Madan Kaushik from Haridwar or Pradeep Batra can be made a minister. Haridwar seat is also important in view of the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. As a Brahmin face from Kumaon, the claim of Ranikhet MLA Pramod Nainwal seems to be the strongest. Nainwal, a lawyer by profession, has also been associated with the Sangh for a long time. Kumaon has about 40 percent Brahmin population. There are total two Brahmin MLAs. The other is Bansidhar Bhagat who has also been a former minister. Nainwal is a resident of Bhatronjakhan, close to the village Mohanri of senior Congress leader Harish Rawat. This is the Ranikhet assembly seat.

It is reported that Nainwal has also been advocated by the Sangh. Similarly, in Lalkuan seat, Mohan Singh Bisht defeated Harish Rawat by a huge margin. If Thakur face is also taken in the cabinet, then Bisht can also get a chance. By moving these two faces forward, the party can also give a tough signal to the Congress in the state. 80 percent Brahmin Thakur in Kumaon The percentage of Brahmins and Thakur voters is very high in Kumaon region. Together they are more than 80 percent. Therefore, it has become necessary to cultivate caste equations in the cabinet expansion as the party wants to make a hat-trick by winning all the five seats again in the Lok Sabha elections. As of now, these sections have no representation, except for Chief Minister Dhami. Saurabh Bahuguna, MLA from Sitarganj, is definitely a minister but he is a resident of Garhwal.

He is the son of former Chief Minister Vijay Bahuguna. That is why the party is under pressure to include the Brahmin face of Kumaon. Two other ministers from Kumaon are Rekha Arya from Someshwar and Chandanaramdas from Bageshwar. which provide adequate representation to the reserved category. CM Pushkar Singh Dhami is returning to Dehradun on Thursday after two days of intense brainstorming in Delhi. On the other hand, Cabinet Minister Satpal Maharaj is catching a flight to Pune on Thursday afternoon. There is also a possibility of Maharaj going to Nagpur. Some MLAs have been called to Delhi. Due to the meeting of party leaders in Delhi regarding the reshuffle in Dhami’s cabinet, the agitation has increased a lot. CM Dhami on Wednesday discussed many issues with Maharashtra Governor Koshyari and National Organization General Secretary BL Santosh. Koshyari had reached Delhi on Tuesday. Meanwhile, in Delhi, during the two-hour meeting between former CM and Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari, CM Dhami, State President Mahendra Bhatt and Cabinet Minister Dhan Singh Rawat discussed many issues. . This important meeting took place on Wednesday morning at around 9 am. According to sources, in this meeting, many other issues ranging from the political situation of the state were discussed. After this, CM Dhami brainstormed with Organization General Secretary BL Santosh at the party headquarters for about 1 hour.

It is understood that the new form of the cabinet was also discussed in this meeting. BL Santosh was informed about the situation arising in Uttarakhand after the Ankita Bhandari murder case and recruitment scam. The CM also met MP Anil Baluni at the BJP headquarters. Earlier, CM Dhami also met Tourism Minister Kishan Reddy. Meanwhile, BJP MLAs Munna Singh Chauhan and Pramod Nainwal have also reached Delhi. Sources say that both these MLAs have been called by the party high command. A few days back also, Chouhan, a sharp BJP MLA from Vikasnagar, had gone to Delhi. Party sources say that the party high command is gauging the political pulse of Uttarakhand on the pretext of departmental programs in Delhi. And is weighing the hearts of the party leaders. After the recruitment scam and other scams, some public representatives of the Dhami government have been embroiled in controversies. The Congress and other parties have made the Ankita murder case a big issue at the national level. In such a situation, after the ongoing churning in Delhi, the possibility of including some new faces in the Dhami cabinet has increased. (IANS)
