Big decision of all-party meeting regarding assembly session

Dehradun. A meeting of party leaders was called under the chairmanship of Speaker Ritu Khandudi Bhushan for the upcoming session of the fifth assembly of Uttarakhand. During this discussion talks were held between the leaders of all the parties regarding various topics related to the upcoming session. Parliamentary Affairs Minister Premchand Agarwal, Leader of Opposition Yashpal Arya, Mau Shahzad (M. Shahzad) from Bahujan Samaj Party and Independent MLA Sanjay Doval were present in this meeting. In the meeting, discussions were held on the issue of convening the upcoming assembly session in Gairsain or Dehradun. The Speaker, during the all-party meeting, expected the cooperation of the leaders of all the parties in the coming session to conduct the House peacefully and smoothly, in a concise and quality manner, so that the proceedings of the House could be run smoothly. The Speaker said that the issues raised in the public interest and development of the state would be discussed positively in the House. The Speaker said that she would provide equal opportunities by taking all the members of the ruling party and the opposition together.

During the conversation with the reporters, the Speaker said that he has put his point before the government in the meeting regarding convening the session in Gairsain or Dehradun, the decision is to be taken by the government whether the session should be held in Gairsain or Dehradun. The Speaker said that the Vidhan Sabha Secretariat is fully prepared to conduct the session at Bharadisain Vidhan Sabha Building and Dehradun at any time. The Speaker said that the next session has to be called before December 16. He told that during the all-party meeting, independent MLAs were called as invited members. The Speaker said that the House represents the collective aspirations of the state and it is the responsibility of the members to voice the concerns of those they represent, amidst the dignity and rules of the House. He said that the House belonged to all the members and it would give ample opportunity to all to participate in the proceedings so that maximum issues of public interest could be discussed.
