Hyderabad, May 09. Assembly elections are due in Andhra Pradesh after two years and the opposition parties seem to be uniting to defeat the YSRC. In such a situation, Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan is seen going close to TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu these days. Both the leaders have expressed the same opinion on opposition unity for 2024 election to defeat YSR Congress.
There seems to be a consensus between the two leaders on defeating the YSR Congress, for which they are advocating unity among the opposition parties. Chandrababu Naidu had also promised more sacrifices. Pawan Kalyan had said in Nandyal district on Sunday that he firmly believed that he was ready for opposition unity.
He also reiterated that he would work to ensure that the anti-government vote was not divided. The TDP chief and Jana Sena chief have thus come to a common understanding, though they are no longer allies.
While TDP is in alliance with Congress, Jana Sena is in alliance with BJP in the state. Based on these indications, Pawan Kalyan is likely to break ties with the BJP and forge an alliance with the TDP ahead of the elections. Since BJP is not ready for any alliance with TDP, Pawan Kalyan may leave BJP and go to TDP’s court.
