Aadhar: Aadhar is used everywhere in today’s time as an ID. From opening bank accounts without Aadhaar, it is possible to take advantage of any government scheme. In such a situation, the usefulness of Aadhaar is much more than any other ID. Now the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) has issued instructions regarding the same Aadhaar. UIDAI has said that any person whose Aadhaar is 10 years old, they should update the data in their Aadhaar. According to the authority’s statement, those who had obtained their Unique Identification Number more than 10 years ago and have not updated their documents since receiving them, are being asked to do so. However, UIDAI did not say that this updation is mandatory. UIDAI said that people have to keep the Aadhaar data updated with the latest personal details so that there is no inconvenience in Aadhaar authentication and verification.

People got a lot of convenience from Aadhaar

The recognition of Aadhaar is being given by the government in all the works. UIDAI is a statutory authority, established by the Government of India on 12th July, 2016 under the Aadhaar Act, 2016. It was established with the objective of issuing Unique Identification Number called ‘Aadhaar’ to all the residents of India so that dual and fake identities can be eliminated. Today its usefulness has increased a lot. Therefore, it has become necessary to update it from time to time.

You can update your Aadhaar here

According to the instructions of UIDAI, if your Aadhaar is 10 years old, then you can update it on the My Aadhaar portal or by visiting any nearby Aadhaar center. Note that Aadhaar would have used iris, fingerprint and photo to establish identity. However, you will also have to pay a charge for the update. It is worth noting that Aadhaar is used for all government work. After this instruction, people will have to update their Aadhaar information to take advantage of government benefits. The UIDAI circular issued to all central ministries and state governments has asked to tighten Aadhaar rules for those who do not have an Aadhaar number. If you do not have aadhaar number, you will not get government benefits.
