Goa: BJP to India without principles, character and morals!
Here Rahul Gandhi’s ‘Bharat Jodo’ journey is going on in Kerala and on the other hand there has been an accident of ‘Congress Todo’ in Goa. On this occasion, the breakup of eight out of 11 assembly members of the Congress in Goa and joining the BJP is such an incident in itself, which spoils the whole journey. Maybe that is why the BJP has chosen this time for this defection.
It is no wonder that in some other provinces the BJP has shown similar charisma. The little hope that Rahul had from his padyatra after veteran leaders like Ghulam Nabi Azad left the Congress has been dealt a major setback in Goa. The Congress says that this defection of Goa has been done because the BJP was frightened by his pad-yatra. He has said that this is ‘Operation Mudde’ of the BJP.
In fact, it is the BJP’s lotus blossoming in the mud of Goa. However, the BJP government was running happily there. But with the merger of these eight Congress MLAs with the BJP, it has increased to 28 seats in the 40-seat Legislative Assembly of Goa. Now he will not have to depend on petty local parties. It is not that such a drastic defection has happened for the first time in Goa. In 2019 also 10 Congress MLAs had joined the BJP.
Due to this fear of defection, this time the Congress had taken its MLAs to their churches, temples and mosques and made a pledge that they would remain in the Congress, but you see how fierce the political selfishness is. An MLA went to the temple and asked God that I am in a big dilemma. what do i do? So God told him that do whatever you like.
For these defectors, policy, principles, ideology and even God have no value – compared to the acquisition of power. BJP has caught this weakness of the leaders fiercely. On the basis of this, he made fierce defections in Arunachal (2018), Karnataka (2018), Madhya Pradesh (2020), Gujarat (2018-19) and West Bengal. The statement of the ‘AAP’ party is that the BJP is spending crores of rupees to break its Punjabi MLAs. ready to plunder.
BJP has also stopped speaking against non-vegetarian food to impress Christian leaders of Goa, Nagaland, Meghalaya etc. In other words, it can be said that whether the BJP government is able to make India Congress-free or not, it is definitely making Indian politics free from principles.
