What will Mohan Prakash investigate in Maharashtra?

The Congress high command is conducting an inquiry into the matter of 11 party MLAs not voting on the trust vote. Mohan Prakash, who was in-charge of Maharashtra, will investigate it. The question is that the Congress MLAs who voted for the party’s candidates in the Legislative Council elections and then voted in the Speaker’s election a day before the trust vote, why didn’t they come to vote on the trust vote? The excuse of getting stuck in a traffic jam is bogus. There are certain reasons for the absence of Congress MLAs, one of which is that despite the high command’s advice, many Congress leaders at the local level are of the view that there may be a loss of proximity with the Shiv Sena. That too when Uddhav Thackeray changed the names of Aurangabada and Osmanabad cities in his last cabinet meeting. That’s why party leaders are keeping distance from Shiv Sena.

Apart from this, a big reason is the party’s state president Nana Patole. He was not a big leader before leaving BJP and returning to Congress. But after that the party made his stature very big. He first became the speaker and then the state president. After this he started ignoring the party leaders. All the old and big leaders of the party are hurt by this. There is also a reason that many leaders like Ashok Chavan, who have been absent from voting, are on the target of central agencies. One reason is also being told that Mumbai Regional Congress President Bhai Jagtap himself is in touch with the BJP. His victory in the Legislative Council has been possible due to the grace of BJP. So, Mohan Prakash will have to investigate in many directions. Along with the big question of alliance with Shiv Sena, the displeasure of party leaders, fear of central agencies and leaders preparing to switch sides for some gain will have to be investigated separately.
