Surat: The 36th National Games-2022 concluded today under the chairmanship of Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar.

State-Central Government ministers including Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla, Chief Minister Bhupendrabhai Patel will be present.

Under the chairmanship of Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar, the closing ceremony of the 36th National Games-2022 has been organized at Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Indoor Stadium, Surat at 5.00 pm. Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla and Chief Minister Bhupendrabhai Patel will be present on the occasion.

7500 athletes from 36 states and union territories participated in 36 types of sports

Significantly, 7500 athletes from 36 states and union territories participated in 36 types of sports in the 36th National Games to realize Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ‘Khelo India’ and ‘Fit India’ campaign. A total of 1100 competed for gold, silver and bronze medals. 2000 technical staff and over 2500 volunteers helped.On this occasion Minister of State for Home, Sports Harsh Sanghvi, State BJP President CR Patil, Sports Department officials, sportspersons and citizens will be present. On the concluding occasion of Khel Mahakumbh, students from all the colleges, universities and schools of the city will be brought.

National Games begin in Ahmedabad and conclude in Surat

Players from all over the country will be present at the closing ceremony of Khel Mahakumbh at Surat Indoor Stadium. This year the 36th National Games was organized in Gujarat. In which 4 games were organized in Surat. The National Games were inaugurated on 29 September in Ahmedabad by the Prime Minister. Today on October 12, the 36th National Games will be concluded at Indoor Stadium in Surat. Just as the inauguration of the National Games was spectacular, in the same way the closing ceremony will also be very grand.
