Eknath adamant on separation

Guwahati. Rebel Shiv Sena leader Eknath Shinde is adamant on dismantling the Maha Vikas Aghadi in Maharashtra. He replied to Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray after his Facebook Live and said that this alliance is mismatch, which is causing loss to Shiv Sena. He tweeted that it is necessary for the betterment of Shiv Sena to break alliance with NCP and Congress. Keep in mind Shinde has already talked about breaking this alliance and aligning with the BJP. However, he has now said that no proposal has been received from the BJP.

In a tweet in Marathi language on Wednesday evening, Shinde wrote – In the last two and a half years, other parties have benefited from Mahavikas Aghadi and Shiv Sena has only suffered. While the other parties became stronger, the strength of Shiv Sena kept on decreasing. To keep the party and Shiv Sainiks alive, it is necessary to come out of the unnatural alliance, he said. It is very important to take this decision for the interest of Maharashtra. It is being told that Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray has offered Shinde to become the Chief Minister, which he turned down.

However, Shinde has also claimed the party by calling his faction the real Shiv Sena. He has claimed that he has 46 MLAs with him and he is the real Shiv Sena. In support of his claim, he has sent a letter with the support of 34 MLAs to Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari. Significantly, Shiv Sena has 56 MLAs in the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly. 37 MLAs are needed to break the party.

Claiming to be with 46 Shiv Sena MLAs, Eknath Shinde has claimed possession of the party. He has also said that he will follow the path shown by Balasaheb Thackeray. Shinde said that the alliance of Mahavikas Aghadi is mismatched. Due to this Shiv Sena is weakening and NCP and Congress are getting stronger. Earlier, Shiv Sena had called a meeting of party legislators at 5 pm on Wednesday by issuing a whip. But about an hour before that, Eknath Shinde announced the removal of Chief Whip Sunil Prabhu, calling the party whip illegal. Along with this, he appointed his faction leader Bharat Gogavale on the Chief Whip.

Eknath Shinde claims that he has 46 MLAs. However, he was accompanied by 35 Shiv Sena MLAs in Guwahati on Wednesday. Apart from these, two independent MLAs were also with him. Later three more MLAs left for Guwahati along with Maharashtra BJP President Chandrakant Patil. In this way, the number of MLAs who joined Eknath Shinde’s faction after rebelling against Shiv Sena reached 40. All the MLAs have been kept at the Radisson Blu Hotel in Guwahati. Earlier on Tuesday night, these MLAs had reached Surat in Gujarat, from where they were taken to Guwahati on Wednesday morning.
