Technology has democratized governance: Dhankhar

New Delhi. Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar said technology has democratized governance by bringing transparency and accountability and it helps in achieving the ideal of inclusive and sustainable development. Describing India as a preferred global destination for opportunities and investment, the Vice President said that a new culture of innovation-led entrepreneurship is taking root in India. Various initiatives like Start-up India, Digital India, Bharat Net, PM Gatishakti Mission are examples of this. He appreciated the government for creating an enabling environment for entrepreneurship and innovation to flourish.

The Vice President gave away prizes to the winners of the hackathon and told the young innovators that your proactive approach will secure a better future for all. Uttar Pradesh Governor Anandiben Patel, Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, senior UNESCO officials and ministers from 13 African countries, students and other dignitaries were present on the occasion. Dhankhar said that India and its Africa have close relations. He said, this global hackathon sends the message that youth can come together to create a better world.
