Surat: No need to give co-lateral for loans up to 10 lakhs in Prime Minister’s Mudra Loan

Special Request from Assistant Director, Ministry of MSME, Government of India for Enterprise Registration from Small Enterprises as well as Traders

An interactive session on ‘Government Support Schemes for Traders and MSMEs’ was organized by South Gujarat Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT) at Platinum Hall, Sarsana. Nilesh Trivedi, Assistant Director, Ministry of MSME, Government of India, gave important guidance to small entrepreneurs as well as traders on various schemes of the government for MSMEs.

Chamber President Ashish Gujrathi said, “MSMEs are the backbone of the Indian economy.” There are six crore MSME registrations in the country. However, in developing countries this ratio is 60 to 65 percent. Whereas in India it is 70 percent. Therefore, MSMEs in India will have to grow even more and take this ratio to 50 per cent by the end of the year.

“There is a need for value addition in the MSME industry,” said Nilesh Trivedi, Assistant Director, Ministry of MSME, Government of India. We have all the resources and we are his customers. He informed small entrepreneurs and traders about Pradhan Mantri Mudra Loan, CGTMSE Scheme, MSME Innovation Scheme, Z Certification Scheme, MSE CDP, PMEGP Scheme, PMFME Scheme. He also gave information about Agriculture Infrastructure Fund.

He further said that there is no need to give any co-lateral for taking loan up to Rs 10 lakh in PM Mudra Loan. He informed about the training assistance being given to small entrepreneurs and asked the traders to register on the portal. Also asked to trademark the name under which they do business. Particularly small entrepreneurs and traders were specially requested to register their enterprises.

CA Shailesh Lakhnakia, chairman of the Chamber’s MSME committee, conducted the interactive session. Nilesh Trivedi was introduced by Pramod Bhagat, President, Gujarat Chapter, CAIT. At the end of the session, Nilesh Trivedi answered various questions plaguing the traders and small entrepreneurs. In the end, Mitesh Shah, Secretary, Gujarat Chapter, CAIT thanked the survey and concluded the session.
