Surat: 36th National Games, table tennis competition begins at Indoor Stadium

95 table tennis players will compete for seven gold medals over five days in a table tennis tournament

Table tennis competition has been started under the 36th National Games in Surat city. 95 table tennis players are participating in the table tennis competition which runs from 20 September to 24 September. The main game will be played for five days for 7 gold medals.

Competition will continue for five days

Surat Municipal Commissioner Banchha Nidhi Pani, Police Commissioner Ajay Tomar and District Collector Ayush Oak were present at the inauguration of the 36th National Games. Harmeet Desai of Surat, Manav Thakkar, who brought laurels to Gujarat and India in table tennis competition, at a five-day event held in Surat as part of the National Games.

Famous players will play in their home town

On this occasion, Municipal Commissioner Banchha Nidhi Pani said that two games would be played at Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Indoor Stadium, Athava Line, Surat. Table tennis from 20 to 24 and badminton from October 1 to October 8. Proper arrangements have been made for the stay and food of the players. There is a lot of enthusiasm among the school students and sports enthusiasts to welcome the upcoming sportspersons to participate in the national games at the stadium.
