Stock Market LIVE: After a big fall, the market in a positive mood on Friday, Sensex and Nifty on the green mark
Stock Market LIVE: Indian stock markets are trading on the green mark on the last day of the week. Sensex and Nifty opened on the green mark on Friday morning. Currently BSE Sensex is trading 773.08 points or 1.46% higher at 53565.31. While the NSE Nifty 50 was up 240.40 points or 1.52% at 16049.80.
Among the stocks showing gains today are Tata Steel, SBI, Axis Bank, IndusInd Bank, Bharti Airtel, Titan, HUL and L&T. All the shares of Sensex opened at higher levels today. BSE Midcap and Smallcap indices were in the positive zone with gains of up to 1.7%. JSW Steel, Hindalco Industries, Tata Steel, Tata Motors and Hero MotoCorp were the major gainers on the Nifty.
Markets were closed yesterday with a fall
The Sensex had a major fall on Thursday due to the fall in the US markets. In the last trading session, the Sensex closed at 52,792, down 1,416, while the Nifty closed at 15,809 with a loss of 431 points (2.65 per cent). The Sensex is currently running about 10 thousand points below its peak.
Recovery in Asian markets today
Despite the decline in America and Europe, all major stock markets in Asia saw a rise on Friday. The Singapore Stock Exchange was trading 1.32 per cent higher, while Japan’s Nikkei was up 1.02 per cent. Hong Kong’s stock market is seeing a jump of 1.74 percent, while Taiwan’s stock exchange is at a height of 0.50 percent. Apart from this, the stock market of South Korea is seeing a rise of 1.52 percent, while China’s Shanghai Composite is trading at a gain of 0.33 percent.
