Special campaign to free Jaipur from begging

Jaipur. A special campaign will be started from November 14 to free Rajasthan’s capital Jaipur from beggary. In this regard, a senior official said that under this the persons involved in begging will be explained.

District Magistrate Prakash Rajpurohit gave directions to the officers in a meeting related to the abolition of begging on Friday. He said that a special campaign would be started from November 14 to make Jaipur city free from begging and the persons involved in begging would be explained and removed from the respective places. He said that during this period necessary action would be taken by the officials of the concerned departments during the campaign.

The District Magistrate said that the information of persons, children and families involved in begging on roads, squares, religious places, railway stations, bus stands and other places should be provided by traffic and other police personnel to the district administration and selected NGOs. He said that the rehabilitation homes should be ensured to be connected with Indira Rasoi Yojna by making proper arrangements for the basic facilities by getting them cleaned so that the beggars and poor people do not have to wander here and there for food.
