Shane Bond included in New Zealand coaching team for T20 World Cup


T20 World Cup 2021: New Zealand Cricket (NZC) has included former fast bowler Shane Bond in its coaching team for the upcoming T20 World Cup to be held in the UAE. Bond will also perform this responsibility in the tour of India to be held after the T20 World Cup. Prior to this, Bond will join Mumbai Indians as bowling coach for the rest of the IPL matches to be held in the UAE from September 19 to October 15.

New Zealand head coach Gary Stead said that, “Shane Bond has worked with the national team before. He is well aware of the team environment and the talent of the players.” At the same time, he said, “Bond will be in UAE for IPL just before the World Cup and his experience will benefit the team in the World Cup. His arrival will greatly benefit the team strategically.”

New Zealand team will play its first match against Pakistan

Shane Bond will be the fourth coach to join the New Zealand team. Apart from them, head coaches Gary Stead, Shane Jurgensen and Luke Ronchi are the violence of the coaching staff for the T20 World Cup and the tour of India.
