Patna There has been a lot of politics in Bihar regarding the caste census. Meanwhile, the government extended the deadline for conducting caste census. In the meeting of the Bihar, Cabinet held on Tuesday, this proposal of the General Administration Department was approved. Earlier the deadline for completing the caste-based census was fixed as February 2023, which has now been extended to May 2023. A total of 13 proposals were approved in the cabinet meeting chaired by Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. In an official statement issued after the meeting, it has been said that in the meeting, the amount to be spent on the app and portal creation for Bihar caste based census has been approved.

For this, the government will give more than two crore 44 lakhs to Beltron, Patna. Its administrative approval was given in the meeting. There has been a lot of politics in Bihar regarding caste based census. Apart from this, approval of Rs 5 crore has been given for the purchase of speed boats and other types to check illegal sand mining from the rivers of Patna, Bhojpur, Saran and other districts. In the cabinet meeting, the proposal of 396 percent dearness allowance to government servants receiving salary or pension in the fifth central pay scale from July 1, 2022, instead of 381, was also approved, while the government servants and pensioners receiving the sixth pay would get 203 percent. In place of percentage, 212 percent allowance was approved. During the cabinet meeting in Bihar, 25 crore has been approved from the Contingency Fund for Prohibition Excise and Registration Department.
