Sameer Vishnoi’s troubles increased, sent to jail in judicial custody

Raipur. Three people, including an IAS, Sameer Vishnoi, arrested by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in Chhattisgarh last fortnight, were sent to 14-day judicial custody by the district court here today. IAS Sameer Vishnoi, businessman Sunil Agarwal and Laxmikant Tiwari were produced by the ED today before the special court of the ED of the district court.

The ED did not seek the remand of these three from the court for the third time, after which all three were sent to 14-day judicial custody. After taking these three into custody, the ED interrogated them twice on remand of eight days and six days respectively and during this raids were also conducted at many places including Vishnoi’s office. The ED has claimed to have caught fraud of more than five hundred crore rupees and recovered four kg gold and a large amount of cash from Vishnoi’s house. (talk)
