Rajasthan: Curfew in 10 police station areas after communal violence in Jodhpur, CM Gehlot’s birthday also got gritty.

Meanwhile, CM Ashok Gehlot has appealed to the people to maintain peace and harmony. Along with this, the CM directed to take strict action against the anti-social elements responsible for such incidents. Gehlot, after a high-level meeting in the capital Jaipur, directed top officials including Minister of State for Home Rajendra Yadav to immediately go to Jodhpur to monitor the situation. Curfew and internet service closed in 10 districts

Jodhpur Communal Violence : CM Gehlot is constantly taking updates from the officials on the Jodhpur violence and giving necessary guidelines. Executive magistrate Rajkumar Choudhary on Tuesday afternoon to control the situation in ten police station areas of the city, Udaymandir, Sadar Kotwali, Sadar Bazar, Nagori Gate, Khanda Phalsa, Pratapnagar, Pratapnagar Sadar, Devnagar, Sursagar and Sardarpura from 1 pm on Tuesday. Issued orders to impose curfew till the midnight of May 4. According to the order, it is necessary to impose curfew to maintain peace and law and order and to keep life in order. At the same time, mobile internet services have also been stopped in the city so that rumours do not spread. In Jaipur, Chief Minister Gehlot reviewed the situation in a high-level meeting with top officials of police and administration.

Action should be taken by identifying anti-social elements

Jodhpur Communal Violence : CM Gehlot identified the anti-social elements responsible for the incidents causing damage to communal harmony and brotherhood and directed strict action against them. According to an official spokesperson, the Chief Minister termed the incident in Jodhpur as unfortunate and said that any incident affecting the communal harmony anywhere in the state damages the peace and law and order in the society. He said that the criminal, irrespective of religion, caste or class, should not be spared if he is found to be involved in the crime. The Chief Minister said that ‘people of all societies and religions in Rajasthan have been celebrating all festivals with love and brotherhood and especially Jodhpur is known for its adoption. This tradition should continue. He appealed to the general public to maintain peace.

This caused controversy

Jodhpur Communal Violence : CM Gehlot said that at the police station level, anti-social elements should be identified and strict action should be taken against them. Along with this, legal action should be taken against the elements spreading misleading messages on social media. According to the information received, this dispute started after midnight on Monday when some members of the minority community were raising religious flags at a crossroads near Jalori Gate on the occasion of Eid. It is alleged that the saffron flag installed on Parshuram Jayanti was replaced by an Islamic flag and people of both the communities came face to face with this and there was a clash. Police reached the spot to control the situation and five policemen were injured in stone pelting.
