The winter session of the Bihar Legislature will be very noisy, know the reason

Patna The winter session of the Bihar Legislature beginning tomorrow is expected to be stormy. Five meetings are scheduled in the winter session of the Bihar Legislature starting from Tuesday. On the first day of the session i.e. on December 13, the Speaker of the Legislative Assembly and the Chairman of the Legislative Council will address the members.

Along with this, the MLAs who won the Mokama, Gopalganj and Kudhani assembly by-elections will be administered the oath of membership of the House. After this, copies of the ordinance approved by the Governor will be placed on the table of the House. On the very first day, the government will present the second supplementary budget for the financial year 2022-23 in the House. After this, condolence will be expressed on the demise of the former MLAs belonging to the Legislative Assembly and the Legislative Council from the last session till now.

On the second and third day of the meeting of the House, on December 14 and 15, government bills and other government business will be taken up in the house. On December 16, there will be a general debate on the second supplementary budget for the financial year 2022-23 and the government’s response. Lastly, the Appropriation Bill will be taken up and it will be passed through voting.

After this, there will be no sitting of the House on December 17 and 18 as they fall on Saturday and Sunday. Private resolutions will be taken up on December 19, the last day of the winter session. After this, the proceedings of the House will be adjourned indefinitely.

Looking at the attitude of the main opposition Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), there are clear speculations that the winter session of the Legislature will be very stormy. Apart from the shooting incident in Begusarai, the issue of increasing crime in the state will also come up in the House.

The opposition has made preparations to surround the government on issues ranging from the issue of law and order to bureaucracy, corruption and anarchy. Also, instead of taking action, the opposition will raise its voice regarding the rigging in various departments, suppressing the pending investigation reports and even after the irregularities are exposed.
