Prabhas’ ‘Adi Purush’ is now Ram Bharosa

Everyone is bewildered. Can’t say whether any changes will be made to the film or not, But ,Lone man, to Hindi in January, Telugu, Tamil, It is set to be released on a large scale simultaneously in languages like Kannada and Malayalam., Which at the moment seems to be Ram trust only., The film is being opposed by the Bharatiya Janata Party and many Hindu organizations but it has got support from MNS i.e. Maharashtra Navnirman Sena. Om Raut’s film based on Ramayana ,Lone man, Amey Khopkar, president of Maharashtra Navnirman Film Sena, came forward to help. According to him, before Om Raut ,Lokmanya – A Yug Purush, And ,Tanhaji – The Unsung Warrior, He has made films like and he is a Hindutva person.

No one could have expected that the film which is being opposed by the Bharatiya Janata Party and many Hindu organizations would get support from the MNS i.e. Maharashtra Navnirman Sena. But got it. Amey Khopkar, president of Maharashtra Navnirman Film Sena, came forward to help Om Raut’s film ‘Adipurush’ based on Ramayana. According to him, Om Raut has earlier made films like ‘Lokmanya – Ek Yugpurush’ and ‘Tanhaji – The Unsung Warrior’ and he is a Hindutva person. Khopkar asked, ‘How can it be said after seeing a small teaser that how the film will be? So watch the film first, then decide.’ That is, they want the film to be allowed to release.

Whereas Maharashtra BJP MLA Ram Kadam has said that we will not allow ‘Adipurush’ to be released in the state. Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Ministers Keshav Prasad Maurya and Brajesh Pathak have also expressed their anger towards the film and its producers. Then how Madhya Pradesh Home Minister Narottam Mishra would have been left behind. They demand that some scenes of the film should be removed, otherwise it should be banned. They believe that showing Hanuman in a leather robe is playing with the religious sentiments of Hindus.

The ruckus that started with the teaser of the film was released on Gandhi Jayanti in Ayodhya. At the same time, Mahant Satyendra Das of Ram temple has also demanded to ban it. According to him, Ram, Sita and Ravana have been depicted in a wrong way. The Sarva Brahmin Mahasabha even sent a legal notice to the makers of Aadipurush asking them to apologize. Akhil Bharatiya Hindu Mahasabha has described Ravana as Khilji in this film, so someone is asking why he made Ram wear slippers. Because Ravana has become Saif Ali Khan, some people are taking out anger on Saif on social media.

Some are calling its VFX bad and some are condemning them as imitations of ‘Harry Potter’ series films and ‘Avenger’ and ‘Game of Thrones’. The situation was such that a major VFX studio issued a statement that it has not worked for ‘Adipurush’. He had to issue this statement because the media people were calling him again and again.

Meanwhile, a video came in which a woman is touching the feet of Arun Govil, who played the role of Ram in Ramanand Sagar’s serial ‘Ramayana’. When he went to Chhattisgarh for a program on this Dussehra, he found this woman at the airport. Govil says that ‘Earlier I used to stop people, but people said that we are not touching your feet, but are showing our devotion to Lord Rama.’ So now Arun Govil lets people touch his feet. He refused to say anything about ‘Adi Purush’.

But Dipika Chikhlia, who played the role of Sita with him, doesn’t seem happy with ‘Adipurush’. He said that if any character is from Sri Lanka then it should not be portrayed as Mughals. She says that VFX is an essential part of today’s films, but it has to be seen that people’s sentiments are not hurt. Sunil Lahiri, who played the role of Laxman with him, also says that the country will no longer tolerate any negativity towards those who are our idols. In the nearly four decade old ‘Ramayana’ serial, Arvind Trivedi played the role of Ravana and Dara Singh played Hanuman and both of them are no longer in the world.

By the way, many films have been made on Ramayana so far. About a century ago, Dadasaheb Phalke made a silent film called ‘Lanka Dahan’ in which both Ram and Sita were played by the same artist Anna Salunke. You can also call it the first double role of Indian cinema. Then Vijay Bhatt made ‘Ramayana’ in which Prem Adib Ram and Shobhana Samarth became Sita. It is the only film for which it is claimed that it was also seen by Mahatma Gandhi. Then after about fifteen years came Babu Bhai Mistry’s ‘Sampoorna Ramayana’ in which Anita Guha and Mahipal were there. Apart from these, Ramanand Sagar’s serial based on Ramkatha remained the most talked about for the Hindi audience.

However, his entire team is shocked and upset by the uproar over ‘Adipurush’. Om Raut says that ‘Like our film, there were many uses of technology in Ramanand Sagar’s serial too. Like ten arrows used to come out of one arrow in it. Ramanand Sagar had his own way of portraying Ravana as a demon in that serial. Our Ravana is the demon of today’s time and from my point of view the demon can also look like what people saw in the teaser. On the demand for changes in the film, Om Raut said that this film is like a mission for us. We are taking note of everything people are saying.

Remember, Om Raut’s ‘Tanhaji’ got three National Awards. His ‘Lokmanya’ was also rewarded. Apart from these, he has also directed films like ‘City of Gold’, ‘Haunted’ and ‘Lalbagh Parel’ in Marathi. Journalist and Rajya Sabha member Bharat Kumar Raut is his father while his mother Neena Raut has been a producer of Marathi films.

Not only Om Raut, Prabhas, who is playing the role of Ram in ‘Adipurush’, is also very upset. The reason for his trouble is also that his last two films ‘Saaho’ and ‘Radheshyam’ are badly beaten and due to his huge fees, the budget of ‘Adipurush’ has gone above five hundred crores. He says that he worked very hard in the role of Ram as he was afraid that he might make a mistake. This is also the biggest film and biggest role of all time for Kriti Sanon. She plays Sita in it and considers herself very lucky, as very few actresses get an opportunity to play the role of Sita. This is the situation of Sunny Singh who has become Lakshman in it.

All these people are bewildered in the current situation. It cannot be said whether any changes will be made to the film or not, but ‘Adipurush’ is set to be released on a large scale in January in languages like Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam. Looks like trust.
