Popular singer Krishna Kumar Kunnath aka KK passed away
KK i.e. Krishna Kumar Kunnath, who gave a new definition to the popular singer and romance with his voice, died on the night of 31 May. 53-year-old KK had come to perform in a concert in Kolkata. According to reports, KK collapsed after performing at Nazrul Manch in Kolkata. He was rushed to a private hospital in Kolkata where doctors declared him ‘braut dead’.
KK was continuously active for more than two decades. In 1999, the songs ‘Pal’ and ‘Yaaron’ from his debut album ‘Pal’ became very popular and till date are often played on farewell in school-college. He also made his Bollywood debut in the same year with the song ‘Tadap Tadap Ke Is Dil’ from the film Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam. Earlier, KK had sung around 3500 jingles. Not only Hindi, KK also sang songs in Hindi, Telugu, Gujarati, Odia, Tamil, Malayalam, Bengali, Marathi languages. KK had no match in singing emotional songs. The entire Bollywood and his fans are shocked by the news of his sudden demise.
