Ranchi. On Thursday, people protested on the streets against the killing of two land traders in two different areas of Ranchi. The protesters blocked roads at two-three places, due to which common people had to suffer for two-and-a-half hours. Dhawan Ram, a land trader in Edalhatu under Bariatu police station area of the city, was shot several times by criminals on Wednesday evening, who later died during treatment. Dhawan Ram’s friend Bhola Singh was also injured in the firing, who has been admitted to RIMS for treatment. On Thursday, people came out on the road in Edalhatu from early morning against this incident. They blocked all the roads and streets in the area for about two hours.
People raised the question that in front of the police TOP in Bariatu, the criminals carried out the incident and the police could not do anything. In protest against this, people got down on the Ranchi-Gumla Highway at Kathal Mod and started protesting by placing the dead body of the businessman on the road. People were demanding the arrest of the accused at the earliest. Due to the road jam, there was a long queue of vehicles on both sides.
