Islamic Resistance Council took the responsibility of Mangaluru blast

Bangalore. An unknown organization “Islamic Resistance Council” (IRC) has allegedly claimed responsibility for the November 19 blast in Mangaluru, Karnataka. The IRC has said that its ‘Mujahid brother Mohammad Shariq’ had tried to attack ‘a Hindu temple in Qadri’. Additional Director General of Police (Law and Order) Alok Kumar said that the police is verifying the authenticity of the outfit.

The message circulated on social media read, “We, the Islamic Resistance Council (IRC), would like to convey this message – The Hindu temple at Kadri, a stronghold of saffron terrorists in Mangaluru (in Dakshina Kannada district) has been attacked by one of our Mujahid brothers, Mohammad Shariq. Tried.” This message is going viral on social media. It further added, “Though the operation was not successful, we consider it successful from a strategic point of view, as despite being wanted by state and central intelligence agencies, Bhai (Shariq) managed to evade them and prepare for the attack.” Did and also executed it.

Regarding ‘premature detonation’, the organization said such fears are present in ‘all military and subversive operations’. Shariq was arrested only because of the premature explosion. The organization has also warned ADGP Alok Kumar. The organization said, “To those rejoicing over Bhai’s arrest, especially people like ADGP Alok Kumar, we say ‘your happiness will be short-lived and you will soon reap the fruits of your suffering’.

You are in our eyes.” Regarding the attack, the IRC said that they have been forced into this path of war and resistance by fascists and that “we are only responding to the worst forms of state-sponsored terrorism.”

The organization said, “We are retaliating only because an open war has been declared against us, because mob lynching has become a norm, because repressive laws are passed to suppress us and interfere with our religion.” as our innocents languish in prisons, as the public space resounds today with our call for genocide.” Responding to the viral post, Alok Kumar said, “We are verifying the authenticity of this organization and the contents of the post.”

Sharik, 24, a resident of Tirthahalli in Karnataka’s Shivamogga district, was traveling in an autorickshaw carrying a pressure cooker bomb fitted with a detonator, wire and battery when it exploded. He got scorched in this blast and is undergoing treatment at City Hospital. The auto driver was also injured in the blast. The police have termed the blast as a terrorist incident.
