Mumbai Railway honors 4 players of Indian Women’s Hockey Team

Central Railway Mumbai today organized a ceremony to honor 4 players of the Indian women’s hockey team playing in the Tokyo Olympics. Women’s hockey team players Vandana Katariya, Sushila Chanu, Monica and E. Rajni represented the Indian hockey team at the Tokyo Olympics and finished fourth, while Vandana Katariya became the first Indian woman to score a hat-trick in hockey at the Olympics. These four players have worked as Ticket Collector in Central Railway, Mumbai. In this program, Anil Kumar Lahoti, General Manager of Central Railway honored them and announced to give the rank of officers in the Railways to these players. After returning to India, the players expressed the happiness of getting love and equal while narrating the story of hard work till reaching the Olympics. After coming fourth, all the players were in sadness of defeat, but the Prime Minister spoke to them and inspired the players.
