MP News: More than 2 quintals of ganja seized from the bogie of goods train, action of Sagar GRP

Madhya Pradesh News: About 26 lakh ganja has been caught from a goods train that reached Sagar from Satna. Sagar GRP seized more than two and a half quintals of ganja from the bogie of a goods train parked at Patharia Railway Yard. In the investigation of RPF and Commerce Department of Railways, hemp kept hidden in 11 sacks was found. It is believed that ganja was being smuggled from railway goods train coaches. According to the information given by the railways, the goods train had reached Patharia railway yard after leaving Satna. Wheat was to be loaded in the goods train from here.

RPF assistant sub-inspector Ajay Narayan and constable Rajiv Mishra were conducting a joint investigation with the commerce department for the loading of rakes at Patharia station. During this, 4 big plastic sacks and 2 small plastic sacks were found filled in the rack. On checking the sacks, the smell of intoxicants started coming. The matter was reported to GRP Sagar in-charge Sagar PK Ahirwar. When he saw, the sacks were filled with leaves like ganja. Investigation revealed that the sacks were filled with ganja.

2 quintals of 600 grams of ganja seized from the bogie of the goods train

It was told by the Railways that during the action, 2 quintals of 600 grams of ganja have been seized from the bogie of the goods train. The value of the seized ganja is said to be around Rs 26 lakh 40 thousand. The ganja was kept in unclaimed condition. Whose ganja is it and from where was it loaded into the bogie? It is being verified. Legal action is being taken in the matter under Railway Act and Under Section 8B/20 NDPC Act. A case has been registered against unknown accused and investigation has been started.
