Liz Truss resigns!

London. Prime Minister Liz Truss, who is facing criticism over Britain’s deteriorating economic condition, has resigned from the post. Prime Minister Liz Truss finally resigned on Thursday, following the ouster of her government’s Finance Minister Quasi Quarteng and the resignation of Interior Minister Suella Braverman. She remained prime minister for only 45 days. He holds the record for being the shortest prime minister in the history of Britain. However, she will remain in the post till the next Prime Minister is elected.

Sir Graham Brady, chairman of the Conservative Party’s Special Rule Committee, 1922, met Liz Truss and told her that the party no longer saw her as a leader. After that he resigned. There is a provision in the Special Rule Committee 1922 that no no-confidence motion can be brought against any Prime Minister in the party within one year. According to this rule the truss chair was secure. But in view of the deteriorating economic condition of the country, Conservative MPs wanted a change in this rule so that a no-confidence motion could be brought against Liz Truss. Then the chairman of this committee met Truss and told him about the wishes of the MPs.

However, after resigning, Liz Truss told the media outside her official residence 10 Downing Street – I could not fulfill the promises I came to power. regret it. I have informed King Charles about this. Earlier on Monday, in an interview given to the BBC, he had said – taking responsibility for the breach of promise and mistakes, I apologize. We want to fulfill every promise, but now it will take time. On the question of resignation, she had said – I do not give up. I want to work for the people. Therefore, do not waste time on frivolous things like resignation. The same thing is in the interest of the country. However, he resigned two days later.

It is worth noting that earlier Britain’s Home Minister Suella Braverman resigned from the cabinet on Wednesday and before that Finance Minister Quasi Quarteng was removed. However, discussions have now started in Britain whether a new government should be formed or general elections should be announced. There are many MPs from the country’s three major parties – Conservative, Labor and Liberal Democrats, who say that elections are necessary for political stability. However, the term of the current Lok Sabha is till 2025. But in the last four years, three Prime Ministers have changed in the country.
